That’s why in 2013, sevDesk GmbH from Offenburg, Baden-Württemberg, aspired to develop a product that would make bookkeeping easy to understand, even for small companies without prior financial knowledge. Now, in 2024, self-employed people and small businesses from more than 100 sectors use the cloud-based software, which is offered in a three-tier subscription model to cover the different needs of its customers.

The subscription plans offer fitting functionalities for different business. This means that users don’t have to buy complex software that they rarely use.
Users can decide for themselves whether they want to book the subscription on a monthly basis – and thus remain flexible – or take out one or two-year contracts, which have generous discounts.
With the cloud software, users do not need their own systems or servers to operate it; they can simply log on and get started.

For companies or more complex business processes, sevDesk can also be linked to other peripheral systems (e.g. DATEV/ADDISON interface, link to tax consultants and connection to online banking).

How does it work?

sevDesk offers tiered solutions for invoicing, bookkeeping and merchandise management depending on requirements.

Users can try out the various models in a free trial version to get an idea of the range of functions as well as the user experience. The trial period expires automatically, so users do not have to pay once it’s ended but can decide on their own whether they want to subscribe or not.

They can then subscribe either monthly or on a one- or two-year basis.

The system can be easily connected to peripheral systems via interfaces and is also linked to ELSTER so that advance VAT returns can also be sent without an ELSTER certificate.

Users can cancel the subscription 14 days before the contract expires (depending on the subscription model).
