What was the initial situation?
The Danish company Kanpla is an Aarhus-based start-up with a big idea – to deliver an intelligent ordering system for kitchens and canteens. They aim for returning customers, helping them lessen their food waste with simple actions. Knowing and controlling the number of visitors beforehand is one of the simple means Kanpla use to reduce food waste, be sustainable and increase their level of service to their customers.
The use of canteens is common in parts of the Nordics, where office hotels, startup communities, universities, larger companies etc offer their employees a lunch service in an in-house canteen. This is where Kanpla comes into the picture, as the easy and smart go-between subscriptions function connecting the canteens and the food suppliers. The office managers or canteen managers gets a subscription on the lunch through Kanpla, and get exactly what they want and need – sustainable, smart and efficient. We asked Jonas Gøttler, COO and Co-Founder at Kanpla, about his experience in becoming a Billwerk+ customer.
What do you think is the most important feature when managing a subscription?
For Kanpla the flexibility of the API (application programming interface) is crucial for us to support Kanpla’s hundreds of canteens and customers with varying models. When we changed our payment and subscriptions management to Billwerk+, getting started was easy. Billwerk+ in Denmark, formerly known as Reepay, coordinated the whole process and we were live within days!
